Sure. I get that some good faith is needed for this to even have a snowball's chance in hell of moving forward. I don't see this happening in a short time frame, but rather a state-by-state basis, building up to a critical mass to something like a constitutional amendment being introduced.
However, I think Texas would actually be an interesting place for this conversation to take place. Considering how competitive the state has become in recent years, I imagine both sides would like to come to an agreement where they can get something each election, instead of rolling the dice and getting nothing. For Republicans in particular, losing Texas entirely as a safe state changes their entire electoral pathway. Better to only lose 20 electors than losing all 38.
